Flag day is most often celebrated in the United States. Patriots, veterans and military families most often enjoy this holiday. It makes sense that they would want to get married on this day. Here are some creative ways to express your love of the flag on your Flag Day wedding.
Centerpiece. Gather various flag-themed items and throw them together for a beautiful thematic centerpiece. This can be anything from red, blue or white candles, miniature flags, red, white and blue flowers, and anything else you’d want to throw in there to add a personal touch. The centerpiece above has some clear crystals for a touch of elegance.
Cake. Decorate the cake with red, white and blue accents to complete the look for Flag Day. For a morning wedding, add some strawberries and blueberries on a white cake. You can also top a white cake with red and blue flowers, or with miniature flags. You can also design your cake to have red, white and blue icing. You can also spread out the colors in different items. For example, have a white cake, red napkins and a blue tablecloth.
Decor. Around Independence Day, go to local store and snag flag-colored items. You can get banners, posters, and more for your wedding decor. The day after the holiday, get everything heavily discounted as well.
